Deep Tissue Massage

Bad posture, trauma and repetative actions can cause muscle memory to keep muscles locked in tension, as a result other muscles have to compensate and joints can be pulled apart causing yet more damage and tension. Deep Tissue massage works the deepest layers of muscle in the body giving a much greater drainage of toxins, restoring correct postural alignment, releasing tension and indirectly frees up restricted joints.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage uses heated Basalt stones to massage with. Contrary to popular belief the stones are not simply placed on the client and left there, they are used as tool to massage with. The heat from the stones softens and relaxes the muscles allowing the therapist to work at a deep level without applying too much pressure. The heat releases tension, aids with toxin removal and gives an overall sense of relaxation and comfort. A Hot Stone massage is believed to be 7 to 10 times as powerful as a regular massage.

Seated Meridian Acupressure

Seated Meridian Acupressure was developed in the 1980's to help over-worked and stressed out office workers but is actually based on working the same energy channels in the body that the Chinese identified over 5000 years ago and are still used in modern acupressure and acupuncture. Most treatments are 15-40 minutes and are designed to invigorate, stimulate and energise the body. All treatments are done with the client fully clothed, in a seated position and without the use of any oils. This makes it an ideal treatment for corporate and office situations where clients can be treated in a staff room, office or even at their desk.
